In a small town where every house had a green roof, there lived a boy named Thomas. He was a curious boy who wanted to discover every secret in the world. Every evening he would look out of his bedroom window at the sky and imagine what mysteries might be hiding behind the clouds.

One quiet night, when the moon shone like a silver treasure at the bottom of a deep lake, Thomas fell asleep with a smile on his face. It didn’t take long for a strange dream to slip into his sleep.

In the dream, he found himself in a meadow where the grass was as soft as silk and the flowers sang gentle melodies. Suddenly he heard a strange rustling sound above his head. When he looked up, he saw something unbelievable.

Across the sky swam fish in all the colors of the rainbow.

These fish had transparent fins that shimmered in the sunlight, and they moved through the air with the grace of birds. One of them, a large, glowing blue fish with pearl‑bright eyes, glided down toward Thomas.

“Welcome, Thomas,” she said in a soft voice. “My name is Marina. Come, I’ll show you our world.”

Thomas didn’t hesitate for a second. He climbed onto Marina’s back, and together they soared into the sky. They flew through little clouds that felt like giant fluffy pillows. Whenever they passed through one, it burst into thousands of tiny sparks of light that slowly gathered back together behind them.

“What’s hiding inside the clouds?” Thomas asked, his eyes wide.

“You’ll see,” Marina answered with a mysterious smile.

They flew through a thick layer of clouds—and suddenly an amazing sight opened up before them.

Hidden in the clouds was an entire city!

The houses were built from clear crystal; the streets were paved with soft light; and colorful lanterns floated gently through the air.

“Welcome to the Sky City,” said Marina. “This is where all the flying beings live who create dreams for everyone on Earth.”

Thomas met many new friends there: butterflies with wings bigger than he was tall, playing golden violins, and funny little cloud creatures that changed shape depending on their mood. Together they laughed, played, and explored every hidden corner of the city.

At the very top of the tallest tower, Thomas found a huge book.

“That is the Book of Dreams,” Marina explained. “It holds all the dreams of children from all over the world.”

Thomas carefully opened the book and saw pages filled with pictures bursting with color and life.

“This is amazing!” he cried. “Can I add my own dream to it?”

“Of course,” Marina said, nodding. “All you have to do is write your wish inside.”

Thomas picked up a golden pen and wrote:
“I wish that children will never stop dreaming and discovering new worlds.”

As he finished the last word, the book flashed with light, and his wish flew out into every corner of the Sky City.

“It’s time to go back,” Marina said gently. “But remember, Thomas—you can always return whenever you close your eyes and open your heart.”

Thomas said goodbye to his new friends, and then he and Marina glided back down to Earth.

When he woke up in his bed, sunlight was streaming through the curtains, and there was a smile on his lips.

From that day on, he knew that the sky was full of secrets and that dreams could be gateways to extraordinary worlds. Whenever he looked up at the sky, he searched for flying fish because he knew that somewhere up there, his friends were waiting for him.
