Long ago—so long ago that no one remembers exactly when—there lived a gentle dolphin in the deep, sapphire waters of the Dark Blue Sea. His name was Delfo, and he was known as the fastest and wisest dolphin in all the ocean. He loved spending his days with his best friends: Tuka the turtle and Bobo the seahorse. Together they played, drifted through the waves, and sang songs so soft that the ocean itself seemed to hum along. Their world felt safe, warm, and full of joy.

But one day, something strange happened. From the calm waters rose a giant sea monster with rough, scaly skin and a mouth full of sharp teeth. Wherever this creature swam, coral crumbled, seaweed tangled, and the little fish hurried far away. The animals of the Dark Blue Sea grew frightened, worried that their peaceful home might be lost forever.

Delfo, Tuka, and Bobo knew they must be brave. Delfo remembered reading in old books that the monster’s armor had one weakness—it could not stand bright light. So the friends made a plan. They searched the ocean floor and found lanterns and lamps hidden inside sunken ships. With help from all the sea creatures, they gathered so many lights that by evening, the ocean floor sparkled like a treasure chest.
That night, when the monster returned, Delfo, Tuka, and Bobo lit up the ocean with thousands of shimmering lights. The monster blinked and stumbled, the brightness too much for its eyes. The friends shone their lights brighter and brighter, until the monster grew weaker and weaker… and then, at last, it slipped away into the darkness, never to return.

From that night on, the Dark Blue Sea was calm again. The coral grew, the fish sang, and every creature felt safe. Delfo, Tuka, and Bobo were loved and remembered, not only for their courage but also for their friendship.
And so, the ocean filled once more with gentle laughter and quiet songs. Beneath the waves, every creature drifted happily to sleep, wrapped in peace—forever after.
